For the beauty of the earth, For the beauty of the skies,
For the love which from our birth Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise This our grateful hymn of praise.

Song of the Day:  You Are More by Tenth Avenue North (see post below)
Reading: The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs (read free, online here)
Verse: Heb 4:16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Another day late. I tried to start last night but I'd been up since 2am and couldn't keep my eyes open.

Yesterday was a fun day.  Our friends are visiting from Seattle and came over.  The boys' friend, D, stayed to play & swim.

Here are Thing 1 & Thing 2 swimming in the very cold pool.  Everyone went in except the Teenager.  He didn't used to have a problem with it but I guess his body is getting older and us old folks feel cold more than little kids (or so I've read).

This is our crazy dog.  He would like to get into the pool but he can't swim.

Here's our oldest helping H-F swim.  It's pretty nice to watch your older kids help your younger ones. :)

Our other dog, L. She isn't allowed in the pool area.  OK, neither of the dogs are but the little one can squeeze through the fence. :D
