For the beauty of the earth, For the beauty of the skies,
For the love which from our birth Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise This our grateful hymn of praise.

School--Week 6

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

What is this, you ask? Don't you know it was the 29th anniversary of SMK on Wednesday? :D

Thursday

The weather changed so we had to get some pants and coats for school.

Friday

I didn't know it could get this cool here anymore. :D

We had a pretty full weekend. I took The Teenager and Spock to see the Mariinsky's production of Swan Lake on Friday night. It was great (don't ever believe the LA Times reviews on anything to do with dance).

Saturday

Had a pleasant afternoon shopping (OK, so I'm exaggerating...who could ever have a pleasant time shopping?) with The Teenager who "coerced" me into a visit to Hot Dog on a Stick. (If you knew me really well, you'd know that no one has ever had to coerce me to go to HDoaS. :D)

On Saturday I took Spock to see his favorite group...Emerson String Quartet.

I'd just like to point out that he really doesn't look like a little kid so much anymore. :( Anway, it was a great performance, but Spock was so tired from School, followed by candy bar sales, followed by Swan Lake, followed by ballet class, followed by Candy Cane rehearsals, followed by Soldier rehearsals....that he didn't quite make it through the second half and Beethoven. In fact, he didn't even want to stay and get autographs. But I did buy him The Prussian Quartets so he's happy enough with that. As for how tired I was...let's just say I was over the legal limit and probably should have called a cab. :/

Sunday

After church Stan took Mr Great-heart up to Baldy for a hike with our Sunday School class. The rest of us stopped by the Global Impact Cafe outside church that sells drinks and snacks to raise money for missions. Obviously, Braniac had a chocolate donut. He really knows how to enjoy it. :)
